How can Americans admit that voting for someone with absolutely no experience at all - a former ACORN street agitator - someone who gravitated to Marxist professors and communist groups in college - someone with no record of any accomplishment at anything - and someone who ran for office on slogans - How can they ever admit that such a vote might have been a mistake?
Do you see our economy improving? Are you impressed by the astronomical debt your children will inherit? Are you looking forward to seeing your health care rationed and taxes on energy so product prices will go through the roof to pay for it all? Did you ever imagine the US government nationalizing private banks and automobile manufacturers? Or giving millions of houses to people without jobs?
Massive allowances are provided for unions at the expense of private investors, while a bunch of appointed czars, who bi-pass Congress/Senate dictate new rules (laws) from the White House.

Have you noticed Obama's weakness with North Korea's nuclear build-up? Or how quiet the White House was while Iran silenced its people with bullets? But boy, did you see how Obama instantly went on TV to support that socialist from Honduras, Jose Manuel Zelaya? A man who was ousted by Honduras Supreme Court for trying to illegally stay in power like Hugo Chavez, the dictator who trashed the US in a one-hour speech while Obama smiled & applauded.

On Cuba...
I am a naturalized American citizen and a Viet Nam vet. I believe the millions of Cubans who came to this great country as political refugees like myself, who assimilated the culture and became productive, tax-paying, law-abiding American citizens, deserve better than a slap in our faces. If relations are to resume with Cuba, those criminals in power should be brought to justice, in a court of law, before a single dollar is exchanged.
I arrived in the USA in 1962 at the age of 12 with only my mother. My father, who traveled with us, was beaten and sentenced to 15 years in jail, without a trial, for merely questioning the abuse we were subjected to while at the airport. My father, a professional man, who never subscribed to violence, died in a Cuban jail after years of torturous incarceration.
How can a US President do this to the freedom-loving Cubans who fled the horrors of Fidel Castro? My father was a professional man and my mother, a certified paralegal - needless to say, we lived quite comfortably, yet my parents, like many other Cubans, were willing to trade their homes and wealth for freedom. My father gave up his life so my my mother and I could be free.
Obama's intellectual capacity is overrated. His community organizer mentality is clearly exemplified when he approved for the Congressional Black Caucus to travel Cuba and "kiss and make up” with very same communist leaders who tortured and killed millions of Cubans and consistently violate all principles of human rights.
I can understand Obama’s "passion" for Castro. During his presidential campaign, Obama uttered the exact same Lenin-like phrases Fidel used to defraud the Cuban people. Phrases like, “economic equality” and "spread the wealth”. In fact, in his first 100 days in office, Obama has engaged in the same tactics Castro used in his early days in power. Nationalizing the banks and dictating what private companies can and cannot do (for the good of the country, of course) – However, by 1962 Castro had declared himself a communist, seized the entire nation and jailed or executed any one who opposed him. I hope Congress will not allow Obama to continue in Castro’s footsteps.
To have a president of the United States of America, the torch of freedom and human rights, appease the brutal dictatorship in Cuba is beyond appalling. It's a colossal symbol of the turn our country has taken towards socialism and away from the righteous principles this amazing nation was founded.

The Energy Tax....
The government is getting ready to squeeze the public once again by taxing energy. Manufactures will in fact, (one way or another) pass the extra cost to consumers.
The cover up for this new scam is the environment, forget Global Warming, since it's been proven that the planet is actually getting colder, the term Global Warming has been replaced by Climate Change. That phrase will work whether the temperatures go up or down.... but it's all smoke & mirrors.
New energies like solar and wind have been proven (without the shadow of a doubt) to be a waste of time & money. In fact, it costs less to keep the wind turbines off-line than on. It seems that when wind dies down, a gas-powered motor automatically kicks in to run the "fans", but at start up, these motors consume more gas than when they run continuously, so when the "fans" are run 24-7 by gas-powered motors, it costs less than when it's a combination of wind and gas. Solar panels are as efficient - they are huge, but do not produce sufficient energy - they're fine to heat a swimming pool, or a light up few lamps, but cannot provide the amount of energy a single household consumes on a daily basis, so what's the point?
France is 75% nuclear powered. So why are we toying around with these ridiculous alternatives? Well, for one, General Electric backed Obama and became one of the "advisors" to the Obama administration and guess what? General Electric is the leading manufacturer of wind powered turbines - it's no coincidence the GE also owns the software that will be used to manage Socialized Healthcare.
It's all BS, and excuse to have more government control and more taxation. Ironically, although the Democrats pride themselves as the party of the little people, it is exactly the little people who will feel the cost of this new energy tax on manufacturers. We'll see the cost go up in just about everything produced in the USA. The alternative will be to have these goods produced over seas and then have democrats say the greedy corporations are sending jobs overseas....
The meanest, most greedy corporation of all is the US government. Do not be fooled for a second.

Hate Crimes legislation to silence you!

The enactment of so-called "hate crimes" legislation is a long stated objective of the homosexual agenda.
What "hate crimes" legislation does is lay the legal foundation and framework for investigating, prosecuting and persecuting pastors, business owners, and anyone else whose actions reflect their faith.
The House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to mark-up the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 this Wednesday, April 22. They need to hear from you.
It was in a similar hearing last Congress that Rep. Artur Davis (D-AL) admitted that under the legislation pastors could be arrested for hate crimes.
The act would establish a new FEDERAL offense for so-called "hate crimes" and add "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" as protected classes. It will mandate a separate federal criminal prosecution for state offenses.
Adding "sexual orientation" to thought crimes legislation gives one set of crime victims a higher level of protection than it gives to people like you and me.
ALL people deserve to be protected from crime, not just certain groups.

Dick Morris: Tedisco's Terrific Performance Spells Trouble for Obama
Veteran political analyst Dick Morris tells Newsmax that the showing by Republican Jim Tedisco in Tuesday’s too-close-to-call special election in New York was “extraordinary.”

Told you so
I hate to say it, but "told you so". Who am I chiding? This time it's the mining industry. They believed Obama when he said he was going to take care of them, despite saying he was going to kill the industry (yes, that's a broad paraphrase) to others. The Mine Worker's Union endorsed Obama.
There's a lot of "told you so's" to dish out these days. People chose to believe whatever felt good. They bought into the hype and now that Obama is doing exactly what he said he'd do, they're screaming. Well, some are screaming. A lot of my fellow Americans aren't paying one bit of attention to what's happening to our most wonderful country.
I hate to say it, but it's sad.
I'm listening to Sting singing "It's Probably Me" as I type. Beautiful song, but that phrase "I hate to say it" is influencing my writing.

Stimulus 2.0, Earmarks, and Taxes from Pelosi/Obama
Last night, the Obama/Pelosi/Reid $410 billion Omnibus to fund non-defense government spending through September was pulled off the Senate floor. This wasteful monstrosity did not have the 60 votes required for passage.
It appears at least 41 Senators object to the massive increase in spending -- 8% over last year's budget – and the larding in of 8,500 earmarks totaling $7.7 billion.
A senior Senate aide told me this morning that many Senators do not want a repeat of the Stimulus battle where their offices were literally shut down with telephone calls and their email was swamped with messages going after the wasteful spending.
You see, they’re talking about Americans like you.
When you fight, the politicians get awfully nervous – even on a bill the President, Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid assumed was an easy victory.
While Americans are losing jobs and seeing life savings evaporate this Obama/Pelosi/Reid $410 billion Omnibus funds earmarks like:
$2.1 million for a Center for Grape Research in NY
$1.7 million for pig odor research in Iowa
$951,500 for Sustainable Las Vegas (I'm not making this up)
$2 million for "the promotion of astronomy" in Hawaii
$200,000 for a tattoo removal program
President Obama, after campaigning on a pledge to veto earmarks, now says $7.7 billion for 8,500 earmarks is ok with him. Sadly, the President cares more about letting his friends in Congress stuff pet projects into an already massive spending bill than keeping his promise to protect the American people from earmarks abuse and waste.
Call your two Senators today and tell them to vote NO on the Obama/Pelosi/Reid $410 billion Omnibus that increases spending by another 8% and funds 8,500 pork barrel earmarks at a time when hundreds-of-thousands of Americans are losing their jobs. The number at the Senate switchboard is 202-224-3121.
The vote will probably happen Monday so please act fast.
But as bad as this Omnibus is with all its earmarks, there is a far more important battle coming that you and I must gear up for now.
It’s going to be over the Obama budget for 2009/2010. In a nutshell the Obama budget
Spends more than any budget in American history and admits to a $1.75 trillion deficit.
Creates a "Cap and Trade" system that is an ENERGY TAX on Americans. The Obama budget admits this tax will be at least $645 billion in the first 8 years alone. Prices will go up on gasoline for cars, energy to heat and cool your home. Prices will increase on just about every good you buy -- from food to consumer goods because of the higher energy costs to grow the food and make the goods.
Combined with the Stimulus, the Obama budget brings back the old social welfare system that trapped so many Americans in despair while wasting billions.

President Obama, after campaigning on a pledge to veto earmarks, now says $7.7 billion for 8,500 earmarks is ok with him. Sadly, the President cares more about letting his friends in Congress stuff pet projects into an already massive spending bill than keeping his promise to protect the American people from earmarks abuse and waste.
Call your two Senators today and tell them to vote NO on the Obama/Pelosi/Reid $410 billion Omnibus that increases spending by another 8% and funds 8,500 pork barrel earmarks at a time when hundreds-of-thousands of Americans are losing their jobs. The number at the Senate switchboard is 202-224-3121.
The vote will probably happen Monday so please act fast.
But as bad as this Omnibus is with all its earmarks, there is a far more important battle coming that you and I must gear up for now.
It’s going to be over the Obama budget for 2009/2010. In a nutshell the Obama budget
Spends more than any budget in American history and admits to a $1.75 trillion deficit.
Creates a "Cap and Trade" system that is an ENERGY TAX on Americans. The Obama budget admits this tax will be at least $645 billion in the first 8 years alone. Prices will go up on gasoline for cars, energy to heat and cool your home. Prices will increase on just about every good you buy -- from food to consumer goods because of the higher energy costs to grow the food and make the goods.
Combined with the Stimulus, the Obama budget brings back the old social welfare system that trapped so many Americans in despair while wasting billions.
